Crisis Intervention and Ministry Assistance:
Care Corps assists and supports the world-wide Church, mission and
relief agencies, para-church ministries, and seminaries and schools.
Mobilizing teams of mature Christians trained in crisis and trauma
counseling, we work alongside existing community based groups in crisis
areas providing training, counseling, trauma care, and consulting
services. Our staff are trained to provide a full range of
psychological clinical services,
as well as teach and train Christian leaders in care-giving and
counseling
skills. Special attention is given to lay care-givers who need
practical
training to be sensitive to issues related to trauma and appropriate
care.
Children
and Youth Care Camps:
Working in concert with the national church or local youth
organizations, Care Corps implements trauma therapy programs designed
to address the psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs of
children in crisis areas. Holistically combining play, music, art, and
sports with a Christian approach and curriculum, the Care Camps focus
on the long term healing needs of the children Additionally, an
intensive training program for local leaders who work with our team for
the duration of the camp provides opportunity for the education and
application of trauma therapy methods designed for continued
implementation after the Care Camp Program.
